Life changing! - November 2009

The decision for me to follow the Weight Watchers diet was one that started with a process of elimination. I had tried various diets and they were all unsuccessful, especially with the social life that I was leading. I was working for a corporate company 2 years ago and travelled every week, to different destinations across South Africa. So the temptation to eat out and socialise was the greatest challenge I faced. I had to find a diet to accommodate my lifestyle.
I experienced a medical scare in May 2007 after an operation, where I battled to come out of anesthetic because of my excessive weight. It was then that I did some research and chose the Weight Watchers program to follow. It was the only plan I could find that would not be a major setback to my travelling lifestyle. Working on the POINTS system was absolutely amazing and in no time at all I was so educated on food groups and their values, that even now it is a way of life for my family and I.
The best advice I can give to anybody wanting to try the Weight Watches Programme, is to persevere and not to beat yourself up about going over your POINTS occasionally! There are times you may only lose 100grams in a week, KEEP GOING!
It has changed my life tremendously: I have more confidence, my self esteem is up and I have NEVER felt so energized.
