OUR FEATURED SUCCESS STORY - October 2007
Daniel RoosMy name is Daniel Roos and I am 21 years old. I battled with my weight since I was 5 years old. Too little exercise and too much take-away food were the reasons for me being overweight. Out of desperation I joined the Weight Watchers programme about 2 years ago. I weighed a full 169kg! Like a lot of overweight people, I've tried all kinds of different diets and since Weight Watchers allows you to eat any kind of food - even MacDonald's and other takeaways - I knew this was the diet for me! While counting my points, I could control my intake of food. I've even saved up points beforehand when i knew I'd be going to a restaurant. As the kilos melted away I adjusted my eating habits to a more correct pattern, with no desire to cheat. I also started attending a gym, because the exercise helped me to lose weight faster. Weight Watchers changed my life, and up to now I've lost 81.2kg, making my current weight 87.8 kg. What I love the most is to be able to wear modern clothes and to tie my shoes without sounding like i'm trying to push a train off its tracks! ![]() The support and motivation that i got that the classes was amazing. A special thank you to both Rindie and Claudia (my group leaders), and to my parents as well, without whom I would not have been able to do this. I can in all honesty recommend this programme to anyone! Daniel Roos is a member at the Brackenfell Hypermarket class. I am very proud of him. He is a wonderful example to us all. |
