OUR FEATURED SUCCESS STORY - JULY 2007
Brigitte WalshI am 35 years of age, am 1,65m tall and have been a Weight Watchers member since September 2005. At this time I weighed 86kgs. I lost 26kg in 8 months and felt like a new person! I have been on other diets before but found them very restricting. I did manage to lose weight successfully with them but it meant cooking and eating separately from everyone else. Going out for dinner or to friends for a meal caused a mini crisis as so often “diet” foods were unavailable or it meant eating a boring leafy salad. What I love about Weight Watchers is being able to eat all the foods I enjoy or have been prepared for me – without the guilt! I can eat chocolates, ice cream and all those treats I enjoy, as long as I incorporate it into my points. I think this is a wonderful diet plan as it is very flexible and even includes take-aways into the plan. Working full time and being a mother, quick and easy recipes are often on the menu. I do not have time to weigh, analyze and separately allocate food. With Weight Watchers, you have a quick and easy guide to use. E.g. tablespoon of raisins = 1 POINT, palm-sized steak = 5 POINTS.
All in all, belonging to Weight Watchers has been a life changing experience! |
